Founding team

Fiona Barones de Vos van Steenwijk

Fiona is dedicated in helping her clients in their tax and civil law questions.

As a Dutch private client tax and notary advisor in origin, she worked 13 years as international wealth structurer with global private banks ABN AMRO in Luxembourg and Credit Suisse in Zurich. In 2019 she set up her own international tax advisory firm, where clients with mainly internationally situated businesses and wealth, have trusted Fiona to find the right solutions for them.

She is known for being practical, solution orientated and great at connecting people in her (large) network. Together with her Savair team members, her goal is to create long-term relationship with her clients and their families.

Fiona can start by reviewing your current situation, check if this reflects your needs and wishes, potentially propose suggestions to optimize – and take the tax administration off your hands.

Fiona stays up to date with the latest changes in tax regulations – largely by attending specialized courses in the Netherlands, Belgium and Switzerland. She is also a member of the International Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

In addition to supporting entrepreneurial individuals and families professionally, Fiona personally maintains an entrepreneurial spirit as well – which was demonstrated through Vieloco, a social app which she started with a partner in the UK (2016-2019).

She also invests in technology companies as a business angel.

She’s passionate about her family, skiing, tennis and travelling with friends & family.

Danial Van

Daniel van Andel

Daniel’s interest and passion in the financial markets started from a young age at the kitchen table with discussions around world affairs and markets with his father. This, together with high school economics teacher who saw his curiosity in the subject, led to him getting a first peek (at age 16) in the financial industry by helping out in the local Merrill Lynch advisory office after school hours. Getting further hooked by his curiosity from this first experience for the combination of analytical skills, the ever-changing nature of financial markets and what feeds into them, he went on to study business and finance in the Netherlands and Hong Kong.

Following his undergraduate studies and the first years of his career spent in venture capital and as a steel trader, he completed an MBA at IESE in 2013 and focused his curriculum on subjects such as investment strategy, alternative investments, and family business management. A natural next step was found when he joined the Dutch wealth management department at Credit Suisse in Zurich.

After nearly 10 years advising clients at leading private banks including Credit Suisse, Julius Bar and UBS in Zurich, he gained a broad base of knowledge, experiences, network and skills. With a bit of arrogance and a view on a changing landscape of what could be built to better address the needs of demanding clients he went on to setup Savair with Chase and Fiona as an answer to how a European family office should look like in the 2020’s.

Daniel loves to travel, spend time in the mountains, play tennis, and has some blood in his petrol. In addition, he also invests in technology companies as a business angel, and also serves on the investment committee of the early-stage investment funds Uneti Ventures

Chase Potter

Chase brings a diverse skillset based on experience in investment advisory & wealth planning, as well as operational expertise in launching (digital) platforms and driving data automation (i.e. for reporting and insights).

Starting his career with Morgan Stanley in New York as a Financial Advisor in Global Wealth Management, Chase worked with individuals & families on comprehensive financial planning strategies – based on risk tolerance, tailored investment plans, savings strategies, insurance and tax. He also focused on the corporate and institutional retirement plan market and partnered with organizations to set up and administer 401(k) and 403(b) plans.

With a passion for global business – Chase later pursued his MBA at IESE Business School in Barcelona, where he focused on global strategy, finance, entrepreneurship and Asian business (and spent time in Hong Kong).

He then moved to strategy consulting as part of the financial services practice of Roland Berger, based out of Amsterdam. Passionate about helping companies develop and execute strategic plans, Chase then held a few leadership roles with companies across Europe and Latin America undergoing complex global operational transformations, including with Private Equity owned companies.

Chase leads the operational buildout of the Savair platform and strives for excellence in centralized (and automated) consolidated performance reporting & risk analysis across all client accounts. He is also passionate about working with clients to develop their wealth strategy and setup & drive solutions for their unique family operations.

In his free time Chase enjoys running & biking in the mountains, skiing and playing tennis – though you may also find him 40 meters underwater photographing sharks.
